Nonprofits First is pleased to include boards of directors and board members In our continuum of leadership programs.
Presented each fall, this series of eight workshops provides a comprehensive training program for new board members, or members who have had little previous education about roles and responsibilities of board membership. When more than one member of an organization attends, the second participant pays half price to encourage board members and staff to attend as a team.
Through our own staff or our consulting services partners, agencies can receive fee-based consulting support for topics such as board development, strategic planning, fund development, or financial oversight.
Board Chairs Networking
In April 2009, Nonprofits First held its first Board Chairs Networking Breakfast, “Nonprofit Leadership and Governance”, featuring Ruth Flicker, President, RRF Human Development Consultants, Inc. The event drew 75 nonprofit board members and their CEOs to discuss the importance of the synergistic relationship required between these key organizational leaders.
Nonprofits First will host its annual Board Chairs Networking event in March 2010. Details to follow.
