GoLead Rising Leaders 2011 - APPLY NOW!
Launched in 2005, Rising Leaders is a program for middle managers to move to the next level of personal and collective effectiveness as nonprofit leaders in Palm Beach County. Rising Leaders equips participants to build more strategic organizations, form strong partnerships, and influence policy in education, health and human services.
This year, 40 health, education and human service managers will be selected to become more skilled in their use of personal power; create, communicate, and sustain a compelling, ambitious and credible vision for social change; and diagnose and take effective steps to handle major leadership and organizational challenges.
Program Description: Leaders of organizations today face many types of challenges. These include the need to design organizations that are capable of coping with rapid change and the greater complexity created by our increased interconnectedness, the need to understand and shape organizational culture and to motivate employees, the need to understand and manage politics and conflict between individuals and organizational units, the need to understand and manage diversity, and more. Such challenges, and how management addresses them, are the theme of this program.
