What is Rising Leaders?

Rising Leaders is a 9 month program for middle managers.

Interested in sharpening your leadership, management and teamwork skills? Rising Leaders is for you! This year, Rising Leaders participants will become more skilled in their use of personal power; create, communicate, and sustain a vision for social change; and diagnose and take steps to handle major leadership and organizational challenges.

 

Challenges Facing Leaders: Nonprofit leaders are challenged to build organizations capable of coping with rapid change and complexity. Leaders need to understand:

  •  How to shape organizational culture and motivate employees
  •  Manage politics and conflict between individuals and organizational units
  • Manage technology, intergenerational work groups, and more

Such challenges, and how management addresses them, are the theme of this program.

You will learn to:

  • Develop an understanding of personal leadership style through self-assessments
