What is the SSEI?
Formally known as the Fund Development Academy, the Sustainability and Social Enterprise Institute offers fund development guidance and support to up to 35 strategically selected agencies. Institute participants learn essential fund development skills through training classes, hands-on clinics, and apply them in real-world settings with the assistance of coaches. The goal is to teach all agencies the social enterprise model as a method for sustainability by generating revenue, to research and strategically target natural fit partners and funders, and to credibly appeal to social investors while adding donor value by demonstrating effective social return on investment. Participants will develop a fund development plan for their agencies and receive follow-up support to facilitate a successful implementation process.
