Award History

As a 2003 recipient of the coveted Governor’s Sterling Award for "organizational performance excellence", the Clerk & Comptroller's office has an ongoing commitment to promoting continuous improvement and innovation through the study and sharing of best practices. In 2005, the Clerk’s office began recognizing leaders and organizations that employ best practices during the office’s annual Best Practices conference. The conference is currently on hiatus due to significant budget and staff reductions resulting from legislative cuts in 2009.

This year, the award will be presented in partnership with Nonprofits First at The Florida Nonprofit Conference to be held March 9-11 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center.  View the conference schedule or speakers by visiting Nonprofits First’s Web site.
