It is estimated that 3 million people are affected by the 7.0 earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12.  Florida Philanthropic Network has compiled information on how people can contribute to Haiti earthquake relief efforts:

> Operation Helping Hands, a joint community project of The Miami Herald and United Way-Miami, will be collecting donations to support the relief effort in Haiti. To make a contribution, go to www.iwant2help.org.

>  The Archdiocese of Miami is accepting financial donations to assist with recovery efforts for the earthquake victims in Haiti.

> The Pan American Development Foundation, the natural disaster relief arm of the Organization of American States, is accepting donations at its special relief website www.PanAmericanRelief.org. The organization has more than 150 people working in Haiti on economic development, disaster mitigation and protecting human rights.

>  UNICEF is seeking donations for the ongoing emergency relief efforts in Haiti and the Caribbean region through www.unicefusa.org/haitiquake or by calling 1-800-4UNICEF.

>  Hope for Haiti in Naples is planning to send doctors, nurses, medical supplies and equipment to the affected area and needs support to pay for fuel.

>  The American Red Cross is pledging an initial $200,000 to assist communities impacted by the earthquake, and is accepting donations through its International Response Fund.

>  Missionary Flights International, based in Ft. Pierce, flies mail and supplies to more than 600 missionary workers in Haiti. It is planning flights to send relief supplies to Haiti.
