"Wanted to say thank you to Nonprofits First for providing the opportunity and the space for me to grow and learn with and from nonprofit professionals from throughout the county. The entire process has been a great learning experience for me and has added priceless value to my organization and myself personally. As much as we learned from the knowledgeable presenters, our interactions and conversations with each other were just as insightful. For me, this is how learning truly occurs; when a group of people with different backgrounds get together to engage in learn while sharing LIVED experiences. I hope that there isn't a limit to how many times I can attend this workshop series because as I grow my board and staff, I would like for all to attend this training."

"Thank you to Nonprofits First for selecting me to participate in the 101 for 501 series. As the founder of Path to College, a brand new academic enrichment and college preparation program for disadvantaged students, I now have a clear understanding of what best practices in operational management will help my organization grow and thrive.

From board governance and marketing to volunteer coordination and fiscal controls, the knowledge I have gained in the workshops would have taken many years to acquire through experience alone. Again, I'd like to thank Nonprofits First and your program sponsors for providing this educational opportunity. It was a wonderful experience for me professionally, and will surely translate to better executed programs; and therefore, more students getting the help they need to get into college of their dreams."

"As a small nonprofit organization, we are guided by a desire to be a contribution to our community. Yet, we lack the resources to fully equip our team with the appropriate knowledge to be both effective and efficient. 101 for the 501 offered us a golden opportunity to learn about nonprofit governance and best practices. As a result of this series, we are revisiting our operation to reflect what we have learned and be more effective. I enjoyed the sessions and the networking opportunity which enabled us to share our experiences with other nonprofits and learn from their own operations. I am forever grateful to Nonprofits First for this opportunity. I am looking forward to strengthen the relationship and learn even more."
