    Services

Nonprofits First, formerly known as the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, was established by a coalition of public and private funders to strengthen the administrative and operational capacity of nonprofit organizations in Palm Beach County. Nonprofits First has three major divisions:

 

Agency Certification, which promotes sound business practices in the areas of nonprofit administration, board governance, human resources and financial management. The certification team provides hands-on assistance and the tools needed for an agency to become compliant with a uniform set of standards and to successfully complete the certification process;

 

Education, Leadership and Consulting Services (ELCS), which offers comprehensive education and organizational learning resources through workshops, customized training, leadership development, and consulting services to assist nonprofit organizations in implementing best business practices and achieving certification standards;

 

Management Support Services (MSS), which provides “back office” administrative services, such as financial and information technology management. In addition, MSS offers access to group purchasing and discounted payroll, personnel, insurance and benefit packages.
