Q: How do I become a member of the Executive Volunteer Corps?

A: Simply click here to complete the online application and submit it to the Agency Certification Team along with an updated resume or curriculum vitae (CV).

Q: How much time do I have to commit?

A: We ask that all volunteers commit to at least 3 on-site reviews within a 12-month period.  Each on-site review averages approximately six hours.  A two-part Orientation and Training is also required and involves a time commitment of approximately one and a half days to complete.

Q: Do I have to provide my own transportation?

A: All volunteers are expected to provide their own transportation to and from orientations and on-site reviews.  In some instances, volunteers may carpool with fellow volunteers or a member of the Agency Certification team.

Q: Are volunteers reimbursed for mileage?

A: Yes, Agency Certification reimburses for mileage at the IRS rate.  Volunteers are responsible for tracking and documenting their own mileage through www.mapquest.com.

Q: Do I need access to a computer?

A: All volunteers must have access to e-mail and to the internet to document their mileage.

Q: Do you provide volunteer training?

A: Yes, we have a mandatory two-part Orientation and Training session. We also provide continued training and education to all volunteers

Q: How will I know what to do & when to do it?

A: The Agency Certification Team will keep you informed on any orientations, special trainings, on-site reviews, and other events as they are scheduled.

How many volunteers are there?

At present time, there are 40 members of the Executive Volunteer Corps.  A team of two to three volunteers is assigned to each on-site review.

Q: Can I make my own schedule?

A: Yes, volunteers can decide when and if they are able to volunteer their time.  The Agency Certification Team will contact you to canvass your availability.

Q: When are the orientation and training sessions?

A: The orientations and any additional training sessions will be offered on an "as-needed" basis.  Additionally, all Executive Volunteers may attend our Educational Series trainings at no cost.
