The Bring Your Own Bylaws Nonprofit After Hours event is for leaders of small and start-up nonprofits who want to meet one-on-one with our in-house attorney, Jeff. Stop by the Center for Nonprofits @ CoWork Boynton on February 13th from 4-7pm and Jeff will review your bylaws and help answer other corporate law and tax questions you may have about your nonprofit. Our BYOB event will feature light snacks, beverages, a tour and overview of our coworking space. Everyone that stops by will be given our Nonprofit Compliance Checklist.

Jeffrey Fromknecht, MSW, Esquire, Side Project Inc.

Jeff is a lawyer, author, and speaker who has a passion for helping others. He is the co-founder and Managing Attorney of Side Project Inc. Jeff is licensed to practice law in both Pennsylvania and Florida. He holds graduate degrees in both social work and law and has more than 18 years of experience working at nonprofit organizations in a variety of direct-service and management roles. Side Project Inc. (SPI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote social justice and social change by incubating and developing grassroots projects. Since 2012, SPI has helped hundreds of grassroots nonprofit organizations establish a strong foundation by helping them with legal and operational challenges. SPI provides legal and operational support to grassroots projects, nonprofit organizations, charitable foundations, and corporate and individual philanthropy. Our services focus on developing socially-minded ideas into

sustainable projects that have a positive impact on the community. .Jeff oversees the nonprofit incubator program, the charitable compliance service division, and the nonprofit legal practice area. His work focuses on the corporate, tax and fundraising compliance issues that tax exempt nonprofits face. He provide resources, training, and legal guidance to nonprofit leaders and social change agents as they try to navigate the rules, regulations and laws impacting their work. He also manages the Side Project Action & Advisory Committee, the SPI volunteercorps. Jeff is an active member of the Florida Bar’s Public Interest Law Section (PILS) and serves on the PILS Executive Committee. He is the current chair of the section’s Nonprofit Law Working Group.
