This course is designed to train people in civilian active shooter response.  This course will cover situational awareness, mental preparedness, history of active shooter events, psychological and physiological effects of a violent encounter, training mistakes, proper training defined, active shooter statistics / history, the origin of traditional lock-down and its intended purpose, U.S. Dept. of Education and Homeland Security federal guidelines, fundamentals of blood control, and a comprehensive breakdown on the current federal guidelines for civilians.  The training will also involve interactive demonstrations and scenario based training drills.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER                                   


Robert Tirollo


Robert Tirollo has over 16 years law enforcement experience, with 9 years on a tactical team, and currently trains law enforcement officers and civilians nationwide.  Rob specialized in Solo Response Tactics, Edged Weapons, and various forms of armed and unarmed combat.  Rob is one of the top active shooter response trainers in the United States.

His background in law enforcement includes Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Training Officer, Tactical Team Leader/Trainer, and School Resource Officer.  He has an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor's Degree in Public Safety Administration.  Rob was a criminal justice academy instructor for 6 years in high-liability areas, as well as being responsible for teaching advanced law enforcement training classes.
