This 2-hour course provides an introduction to strategic planning and performance monitoring so you can apply these concepts to achieve maximum impact of your programs. You will learn the components of a strategic plan, create “SMART” goals, understand how to develop appropriate metrics for your agency, and identify best practices. Participants will also have the opportunity to work with the consultant to develop “SMART” goals and metrics.

By understanding that you need not only the right focus and direction for your agency [strategy] but also the appropriate means by which to measure your progress [performance monitoring], you will be well positioned to achieve success.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

 

Paul R. Hamaty | Strategy Consultant

PAUL HAMATY is the owner of RAND Strategic Solutions, LLC and brings over 25 years’ experience ranging from strategic planning and enterprise risk management to business process optimization; from budgeting and accounting to compliance and training.  Paul served as the Corporate Strategist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta before working for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.  There, he launched and directed the strategic planning and Lean Six Sigma functions for its Financial Management division.  

He has consulted in disciplines such as finance and accounting, human resources, facilities management, check and electronic payments as well as the performing arts and abstract art and sculpture.  His clients have included businesses, non-profit organizations, individuals, and the public sector.  

Paul holds an MBA in International Business from Georgia State University as well as a Lean Six Sigma Executive Greenbelt from BMGI.  He is also bilingual (English/French).
